Hankering for a hike? A lot of Boulder area trails are still closed. Open Space and Mountain Parks are working hard to get our trails opened. If you want to head out on a hike, check out this list of currently opened trails here. You will find trail names and maps of what is open and what isn’t.

Want to see Boulder trails at night? Head out for a night hike!
Enjoy a night hike at Bald Mountain. The Bald Mountain Scenic Area which is 5 miles west of Boulder on Sunshine Canyon Drive. Join Boulder County volunteer naturalists for an evening of exploring Bald Mountain under cover of darkness. You will hike about one mile roundtrip on a moderately strenuous trail, enjoying the starlight, listening for night sounds, and learning about some of the nocturnal habits of the critters that live here. Bring water, closed-toe hiking shoes/boots, suitable clothing for the weather, a flashlight, and your night vision. All ages are welcome.  [August 13, 2013 . 8:30pm to 10:00pm]

Calling all families to come celebration Earth Day! Join Growing Gardens right here in Boulder to celebrate Earth Day, today! Gather at the Children’s Peace Garden to join in a fun, interactive celebration intended to connect children and families to fresh food, local honeybees and healthy bodies.
