Open Space and Mountain Parks [OSMP] invites you to join them to hike the Upper McClintock trail and visit areas affected by the flood. OSMP will provide contemplative time to absorb the changes on the land, as well as a brief overview of these events from the perspective of natural geologic change. This is an easy hike, about 2 miles round trip with 400 feet of elevation gain. Meet at the Chautauqua Ranger Cottage. No dogs please.

September 2013 brought unprecedented rainfall to our region, causing significant flooding and extensive damage to both private property and public infrastructure. In response to this event, the City of Boulder is reviewing its flood management program and mitigation priorities and they need your help in identifying neighborhoods and areas in Boulder that were severely impacted by the recent flooding. They need residents’ help to understand which areas had the most flood damages. The survey is very short. Take the Boulder Flood Impact Survey!
Boulder County is offering their Roadmap to Recovery™ Workshop on Feb. 4, 2014. This workshop is focuses on insurance and the recovery from the floods. Attendees will hear from a United Policyholders staff member and a flood damage expert on insurance matters. If you are struggling with your insurance company over flood claims or just want to make sure you are getting everything you deserve, this free workshop can help.

‘Provence to Lyons’ Flood Relief Benefit Dinner at Mateo Restaurant (1837 Pearl St., Boulder, 303-443-7766) is tonight, October 2. Proceeds will go to benefit the citizens of lyons who have been displaced by the flood.
Join some of Boulder’s powerhouse chefs and bartenders are coming together to create a seven course meal with cocktail and wine pairings. Among the participants are Nate Bychinski of Mateo, Kelly Whitaker of Basta, Will and Coral Frischkorn of Cured, Bryan Dayton of Oak at Fourteenth, and Brett ZImmerman of the Boulder Wine Merchant. Reservations for two seatings (6 p.m. and 9 p.m.) can be made by calling 303.443.7766. Cost is $150/person. A complimentary community table will be reserved for residents of Lyons for both seatings.
