Frozen Dead Guy Festival: Time to head up to Ned!

The annual Frozen Dead Guy Festival is happening March 8-10, 2019. Enjoy this quirky festival, learn the history of the legendary man to whom this festival pays homage, and enjoy the festivities, including live bands — playing everything from bluegrass to rock and roll to reggae — in heated tents, and fills the streets and fields of the small town with fun events like a hearse parade, coffin racing, a costumed polar plunge, frozen t-shirt contests, icy turkey bowling, and much more.

A Hike To The Boulder Star Is Always Fun!

The star watches over Boulder as an etherial icon every year. Lit starting in November this can be a fun night hike! This moderate hike has two possible approaches. Each one is about 1.2 miles (one way) with roughly 900 feet of elevation gain. Cold temperatures and icy trails call for a little extra gear and preparation, but that’s just part of the fun.

The Annual Louisville Street Faire is on! This idyllic evening boasts live music, food, drinks, children’s actives, arts, crafts and fun for the whole family! Enjoy summer evening out, Fridays from 5 to 10pm.

It is described this way: For three or four hours, eight summertime Friday evenings, life is just like it should be. Babies don’t cry, dogs don’t bark, and wise elders feel nineteen again. The Muse visits the musicians pretty much every night and dances when the spirit moves her. We don’t know why this all happens here, we’re just glad it does!

Loving that snow? Maybe today is a great day to go sledding. There are some great sledding hills in Boulder! Check out these locations for some of the best sledding around:

Scott Carpenter Park: This is a mellow, fun slope for the kids, but adults enjoy it too!

Tantra Park [Just South of 46th and Hanover]: This sledding hill can get incredibly packed and at places it is steep.

Foothills Community Park: There are some great, low angle slopes here for kids and adults.
