Star Gazing On Earth Day!

EarthHappy Earth Day! Interested in celebrating the earth and the stars? Join naturalist Dave Sutherland of Open Space and Mountain Parks for a trip to the stars with a telescope. There is a chance we may be able to pick out the polar caps of Mars, and watch the amazing dance of Jupiter’s four large moons. Then you will cruise around the sky to take in other deep sky wonders. Meet at Boulder Valley Ranch / Sage Trailhead.  Follow this link for a map to the meeting place.

It also happens to be Earth Day! so make a plan to ditch the car and jump on your bike and head off to school or work on your own human power. Sounds fun to me! Check Out the Children’s Peace Garden Earth Day Celebration!

earthCalling all families to come celebration Earth Day! Join Growing Gardens right here in Boulder to celebrate Earth Day, today! Gather at the Children’s Peace Garden to join in a fun, interactive celebration intended to connect children and families to fresh food, local honeybees and healthy bodies. That’s a lot to accomplish, but leave it to the Growing Gardens people to make it happen. This event is free. Children’s Peace Garden is located at 1630 Hawthorn, Boulder.
