earthCalling all families to come celebration Earth Day! Join Growing Gardens right here in Boulder to celebrate Earth Day, today! Gather at the Children’s Peace Garden to join in a fun, interactive celebration intended to connect children and families to fresh food, local honeybees and healthy bodies. That’s a lot to accomplish, but leave it to the Growing Gardens people to make it happen. This event is free. Children’s Peace Garden is located at 1630 Hawthorn, Boulder.

recycle-your-bikeBoulder Valley School District is hosting a Bike Collection Drive to benefit Community Cycles, a Boulder area non-profit dedicated to enhancing bike culture and giving people access to bikes. Donate your used bikes, parts, and accessories IN ANY CONDITION to Community Cycles and they will make sure they are put to good use. Donation dates and locations:

  • Tuesday, April 16: Boulder High School in the parking lot at Arapahoe and 15th Street. 8:00am to 5:00pm.
  • Wednesday, April 17: Fairview High School in the horseshoe in front off of Greenbriar. 8:00am to 5:00pm.
