ncarBoulder’s National Center for Atmospheric Research’s visitor center is open for guided and self-guided tours 363 days of the year. This iconic building sits atop a mesa overlooking Boulder. The site is beautiful and offers easy hiking options and the visitor’s center offers visitors interactive learning opportunities. NCAR is open for visitors on weekdays 8:00am to 4:00pm and on weekends 9:00am to 5:00pm. Guided tours are offered M/W/F 12:00 to 1:00pm, but if you would rather a self-guided tour you can take an cell phone MP3 tour anytime. Kids and adults alike enjoy this site! Learn More About The History of the Boulder Civic Area

Take a journey through the park’s 27 acres with a park ambassador as your guide. The walking tour will focus mainly on the history and nature of the park with a look at what some future designs are for the Civic Area. Talks will cover a variety of topics  such as flooding, plains history, the settling of Boulder, Sister City Project, the gardens, park fauna, etc.

 

Wednesdays from 1 to 2pm and Sunday 11 to noon. Tours are free. All ages welcome.
