Boulder’s National Center for Atmospheric Research’s visitor center is open for guided and self-guided tours 363 days of the year. This iconic building sits atop a mesa overlooking Boulder. The site is beautiful and offers easy hiking options and the visitor’s center offers visitors interactive learning opportunities. NCAR is open for visitors on weekdays 8:00am to 4:00pm and on weekends 9:00am to 5:00pm. Guided tours are offered M/W/F 12:00 to 1:00pm, but if you would rather a self-guided tour you can take an cell phone MP3 tour anytime. Kids and adults alike enjoy this site! Cheryl Carter-Pierce is a photographer who spent three years on the coast of Maine for a photographic project called “First Light”. This series was mostly recorded in the pre-dawn light, rendering deep colors and striking patterns. Carter-Pierce’s work will be on exhibit in Gallery I of the National Center for Atmospheric Research.
Norman Singer’s photography attempts to illustrate the commonality of the human spirit. Singer’s work will be on exhibit in Gallery II of the National Center for Atmospheric Research.
