Sledding Anyone?

This spring snow makes me think about sledding. Boulder has some great options.

Scott Carpenter Park: This is a mellow, fun slope for the kids, but adults enjoy it too!

Tantra Park [Just South of 46th and Hanover]: This sledding hill can get incredibly packed and at places it is steep.

Foothills Community Park: There are some great, low angle slopes here for kids and adults.

It’s the Final Day of the BoaBoa Festival!

The BaoBao Festival’s mission is to entertain, educate and build community in Colorado through artistic performances inspiredScreen Shot 2014-02-28 at 9.59.09 PM by West African tradition and culture. Over the past ten years BaoBao Festival has brought local, national, and international performers to Colorado for a celebration of Africa’s age-old community theater experience of gathering under the baobab tree.  The Festival is an exciting celebration that weaves together West African singing, storytelling, drumming and dance. March 1, 2014 is the final day of the event.

Celebrating its thirteenth year as the original outdoor ice skating rink in the community, WinterSkate presents the perfect opportunity to enjoy the winter season in a beautiful small-town setting.

The Magic Flute Is In Town!

Take the whole family to see the Mozart’s Magic Flute presented by the Boulder Opera Company. This relative newcomer to the Boulder arts scene has already pleased many audiences and works to make opera relevant to children. The Magic Flute is their latest production and will play from December 8 through 15 in Boulder and Broomfield. More information and to purchase tickets go here.
