Free tour of Cured, the boutique wine and meat store, on East Pearl Street. If you have never been in Cured you are in for a real treat. They share the space with Boxcar Coffee [another Boulder favorite!]. On Tuesdays drop in between 4 and 7 for a wine tasting and tour of Cured. Jump on the funky bus to learn things you never knew about Boulder. We are talking ghosts, murders, and other tempting details of Boulder history here. The bus tour is just under two hours and super fun for the whole family! The buses leave from the Hotel Boulderado at 2pm and 4pm, Friday through Sunday. You need to make a reservation ahead of time. Community Cycles is hosting a super fun and FREE Kids Bike Day. The day includes bike tune-ups and rodeo, bike safety instruction and repair demos, art and crafts, food, music, and much more. There will be prizes, a bike smoothie blender, and other cool stuff. Kids, bring your bikes for a spring tune-up, then come and ride the bike rodeo and have fun learning to ride over, under and around obstacles. Tommy blames the suffering in his life on his father. His dad taught him to embrace fear and doubt and turn them into inspiration. Given this attitude, Tommy has established some of the hardest sport routes in the country and free climbed 11 routes on El Cap. He believes the long, difficult journeys with little chance for success teach him the most. Tonight at Patagonia Boulder, Tommy chats about the life of a professional climber, lessons learned, and how social media has provided an outlet for inspiring others.
