Today you can find the Amelie Trio bringing you inspirational music ranging from infectious Gypsy Swing, sophisticated Tangos, and Edith Piaf Ballads sung in French. Do you enjoy live music? Are you curious how they tape live radio shows? eTown – a nationally syndicated live radio program is taped right here in Boulder at their own eTown Hall. The acts they bring in are amazing and the tickets are reasonably priced. This is not a full concert but rather a live musical experience. 2014 Family Meadow Music with Jeff & PaigeMeadow Music programs are our most popular (and very fun) education events. Children and parents join OSMP’s Jeff Kagan, Paige Doughty and Mark Wesson for evenings of children’s music and nature education. The evening consists of a short, kid-friendly hike on the McClintock Trail followed by 45 minutes of nature music for kids on the Chautauqua Green, by the Ranger Cottage. Best of kids ages 2-8. Meadow Music is free! Bring a picnic, bring a blanket, rain or shine. All Meadow Music events are held from 5:30 to 7pm. Follow this link for a map to the meeting place.

The Boulder Public Library presents their Midday Music program featuring Jesse Manno (oud), Michael Stanwood (didgeridoo), James Hoskins (cello), Brett Bowen (percussion), Dexter Payne (woodwinds) and Jenna Woods (zils). Join these musicians for an hour of beautifully improvised music. April 9, 2014, noon to 1pm at the Canyon Theater [on the North side of the library off Canyon]. This event is free and open to the public. Enjoy!

It is harvest time in many communities. In the community of Hygiene they are celebrating with a day dedicated to hay. Join in the fun at the Hygiene Hay Days and partake in a pie contest, live music, a farmers market, hayrides, barbecue and much more. Noon to 8pm in Downtown Hygiene.

The Boulder Farmer’s Market is in full swing. This is the height of the season and Wednesday nights at the Market are sublime. May we suggest heading downtown, grabbing this week’s veggies and fruits, purchasing some delicious food, grabbing a drink and listening to live music? While you are at it, duck into the Boulder Museum of Contemporary Art–it is free when the Market is on. It is certain to be a lovely night! Hours are 4:00 to 8:00pm.
