Boulder is a bike town. No doubt. Now, Bike Art at the Dairy! returns through January 17, 2014 to feed our souls. From nearly 500 submitted works of art, they’ve selected 134 pieces by 94 artists from as far away as Hawaii and Alaska. Some of these artists have also provided miniature works, perfect for holiday gift-giving. Come check out the exhibit during open hours. More information here.

The Shirts On/Dance Off Benefit Party starts at 7pm tonight [Thursday]! We will be unveiling our October art exhibition “Unearthed” by Rob Mack which will include 2D & 3D artwork and a special window installation. Live music all night long by Raw Russ and DJ Russo!! Cocktails by Suerte Tequila, mixers/elixers from Shine, beer from West Flanders and Photobooth by Timmy D’Antonio Photography. Art Night Out is a community arts event in Old Town Lafayette, with live music, downtown art walk, beer and wine garden, artist booths, face painting, dining, literature, shopping, art receptions, children’s activities at Arty’s Creation Station, & more. This is the last Art Night Out of 2013!

Get a taste of contemporary art at BMoCA. Their ever changing exhibits are a feast for you eyes. They make you think and wonder. Wednesday evening are a great time to take a stroll into BMoCA and explore local and national artists and exhibits. BMoCA is located at 1750 13th Street, Boulder. Entrance is free [donations accepted!] during the Boulder Farmer’s Market on Wednesdays [4:00pm to 8:00pm] and Saturdays [8:00am to 2:00pm]. For more information click here.
Leanin’ Tree Museum of Western Art offers one of the nations largest private collections of western art. There is also a beautiful outdoor sculpture garden. Open 360 days of the year. This is a great one for locals and out of town guests. More information can be found here.
NCAR Community Art Program brings artists’ works to Boulder on a rotating basis. Enjoy the art show, the location, and the hands on exhibits. The exhibit is ongoing. NCAR is free and open to the public daily during business hours [8am to 5pm]. More detailed information here.
Cheryl Carter-Pierce is a photographer who spent three years on the coast of Maine for a photographic project called “First Light”. This series was mostly recorded in the pre-dawn light, rendering deep colors and striking patterns. Carter-Pierce’s work will be on exhibit in Gallery I of the National Center for Atmospheric Research.
Norman Singer’s photography attempts to illustrate the commonality of the human spirit. Singer’s work will be on exhibit in Gallery II of the National Center for Atmospheric Research.
