Open Arts Fest in Downtown Boulder This Weekend!

All Aboard the TEBO Train!

tebotrain“All Aboard”!  Calling all kiddos, enjoy a free ride on Pearl Street Mall’s one-and-only Tebo Train! Children ages 10 and under (and accompanying adults) will chug along the beautiful Pearl Street Mall on the only set of wheels permitted “on the bricks”!  The Tebo Train runs Mondays – Thursdays from May 28 – August 29. Board between 10 – 11:15 am in front of Wells Frago Bank at the corner of 12th and Pearl Street. More information here.

Hard to Recycle Goods & Electronics: Drop them at Whole Foods!

bins w truckWe can no longer dispose of electronics in the landfill! As of July 1, 2013 it is this is the law in Boulder. So what can you do with those unwanted electronics? Bring them to Whole Foods on Baseline [1st Sunday of the month] or in Superior [4th Sunday of the month] from 10am to 2pm to dispose of them responsibly. Where Can You Recycle Your Electronics? Whole Foods on Baseline!

sustainability recyclingAs of July 1, 2013 legislation bans Colorado residents from disposing of electronics in the landfill. E-waste is a growing problem because electronics contain dangerous toxins and when not disposed of sustainably they can cause serious problems down the road. But on the 1st Sunday of the month you can stop by Whole Foods on Baseline and Broadway [2584 Baseline Road, Boulder] or on the 4th Sunday of the month you can head to Whole Foods in Superior [303 Marshall Road] to recycle your used electronics. Most items are accepted for free, but some do have a small fee. Electronics recycling between 10am and 2pm.
