Boulder’s Annual Band on the Bricks line up is out! Starting tonight, June 11th, you will find live, free music, performed on the beautiful Pearl Street Mall on Wednesday nights throughout the summer. Head down to Pearl Street tonight and Wednesdays throughout the summer for the fun of it – 7 to 9pm.

Welcome to the 3rd Tuesday Lunch Concert Series presented by the Boulder Library. Today you can find the Amelie Trio bringing you inspirational music ranging from infectious Gypsy Swing, sophisticated Tangos, and Edith Piaf Ballads sung in French. 2014 Family Meadow Music with Jeff & PaigeMeadow Music programs are our most popular (and very fun) education events. Children and parents join OSMP’s Jeff Kagan, Paige Doughty and Mark Wesson for evenings of children’s music and nature education. The evening consists of a short, kid-friendly hike on the McClintock Trail followed by 45 minutes of nature music for kids on the Chautauqua Green, by the Ranger Cottage. Best of kids ages 2-8. Meadow Music is free! Bring a picnic, bring a blanket, rain or shine. All Meadow Music events are held from 5:30 to 7pm. Follow this link for a map to the meeting place.

On March 22, 2014 Open Space & Mountain Parks as well as the Boulder Philharmonic present their own interpretations of Ghosts of the Grasslands. Together they bring you the opportunity to hike & see a performance perfectly paired together!
The Hike: Prepare for the Boulder Philharmonic concert with an easy morning hike to learn about the plants and animals of our native grasslands, and how they have changed since the first pioneers arrived in Boulder. Naturalist Dave Sutherland will take you to a prairie dog town just south of Boulder to observe day-to-day life, and see how prairie dogs are an important part of the grassland ecosystem. Dress for the weather: it might be cool and windy. Meet at Marshall Mesa Trailhead, near the junction of Highway 93 and Eldorado Springs Drive. 9:30 to 11:30am.
The Musical Performance: Macky Auditorium, the Boulder Philharmonic will perform Ghosts of the Grasslands by composer Steven Heitzeg, a work that celebrates the life of the American prairie. More about the this performance & to purchase tickets go here.
