The City of Boulder offers excellent programs for families! These programs are offered on a regular basis and help us all to learn more about the environment around us.
On the last day of the year get outside with your kids to learn more about the critters that live all around us. They get to be detectives as you look for signs of tracks and learn the stories of these animals. This tracking program is on December 31, 2014. Learn more HERE.
Town-gown relationships are on the upswing as CU-Boulder considers supporting flood mitigation efforts through use of their CU-Boulder South Campus to contain future flood waters. Read the full article in the Daily Camera – HERE.
It’s already started! September 15, 2014 starts Dog Dayz at Scott Carpenter Pool. This is the time when the City of Boulder turns into an aquatic dog park for two weeks. The pool closes for human usage and we open up the water for dogs to enjoy. The Dog Dayz event has been running strong for nearly a decade! It is a great way to spend a warm afternoon with your best friend — your dog (or dogs) will be grateful for the chance to cool off and play with others. More info on Dog Dayz right here.

The Firehouse is the City of Boulder’s pottery studio and they are hosting their annual pottery sale. Of course there is lots of beautiful pottery but there are other arts and artists represented too. This is a chance for locals to pick up beautiful and functional pieces at good prices directly from the artists. Sale is this weekend 9/6 and 9/7. More information on the sale – here.

You don’t want to miss a fun day at the Rez! The City of Boulder is hosting their Star Spangled Splash this July 4th. Live music, family events, a beer garden, youth games and prizes, sailing, and much more! The Reservoir is open from 5:30am to 6pm and all events happen within this time frame.
