What's Happening in Boulder County!
The Firehouse is the City of Boulder’s pottery studio and they are hosting their annual pottery sale. Of course there is lots of beautiful pottery but there are other arts and artists represented too. This is a chance for locals to pick up beautiful and functional pieces at good prices directly from the artists. Sale is this weekend 9/6 and 9/7. More information on the sale – here.

This is the last day of the Boulder Creek Hometown Festival. This is the perfect bookend to close out the summer event season in downtown Boulder. The festival features over 100 arts & crafts exhibitors in Central Park and on the Boulder Public Library lawn along the creek, great live performances at the Bandshell, an interactive Sports & Kids Expo, the 5th Annual Family Fun & Fitness 5K, food court & beer garden, the infamous Chili Inferno Cook-Off, Classic Car Show, and an entire children’s area with carnival rides and exhibitors, the Great Zucchini Race, Big Wheel 300 races, and much more! The Boulder Farmer’s Market is in full swing and the peaches are ripe! This is the height of the season and the Market is filled with veggies and fruits. May we suggest heading downtown, grabbing this week’s veggies and fruits, & purchasing some delicious food? Boulder recently landed at #7 on the list of the Top 8 Cities With Most High Income Earners from Forbes Magazine. That translates to 34.4% of Boulder households having incomes toping $100,000. Dog Dayz is a Boulder special event so requires a plenty of warning! September 15, 2014 starts Dog Dayz at Scott Carpenter Pool. This is the time when the City of Boulder turns into an aquatic dog park for two weeks. The pool closes for human usage and we open up the water for dogs to enjoy. The Dog Dayz event has been running strong for nearly a decade! It is a great way to spend a warm afternoon with your best friend — your dog (or dogs) will be grateful for the chance to cool off and play with others. More info on Dog Dayz right here.
