These are the upcoming classes, but the calendar is full of great class options! What to expect from a class? Most classes are hands on 3 hour classes, unless otherwise stated,  where you will be cooking the first 2.5 hours and sitting to eat generous tasting portions the last 30 minutes. Wine and beer are both available to our guests for purchase.  All classes are priced per person. Food allergies, intolerances or dislikes? Let us know when you sign up and we will work our magic for you.

Home Prices Are Soaring To New Heights!

Realtor.com just published research on expected housing prices for 2017. All across the country prices are going up – but Colorado is one of the biggest gains. Read the Realtor.com Article.

“REALTORS® expect modest price gains in home values over the next year. The median expected increase in home prices across the country is 3.5 percent, according to the REALTORS® Confidence Index January 2017 survey, based on the responses of more than 3,800 REALTORS® across the country.

REALTORS® are most bullish about rising home price expectations in Washington, Oregon, and Colorado. Real estate pros in those states believe they will see 4 to 5 percent increases in values over the next year. Meanwhile, oil-producing states like Alaska, North Dakota, and West Virginia had the lowest median expected price changes over the next year.

“Looking at the values over time in selected states, the median expected price change appears to be increasing again from what was expected in the middle of 2016, indicating that respondents expect demand to remain strong,” according to the report. “In more than half of states, expected price change exceeds the price growth that was expected at the end of January 2016, even as home prices continue to rise.” The map below shows REALTORS®’ median expected price change over the next 12 months by state level.”

For the Love of Neighborhoods: You Can Apply for a City of Boulder Grant

Did you know that the City of Boulder has a Neighborhood Partnership Grant program? This is an inclusive community program where groups of residents can apply to receive funding for projects that will address specific area needs and create more sustainable neighborhoods. Projects can range from public art to neighborhood gatherings to community planning. All an applicant really needs to apply is a great idea and the support of the neighborhood in which the project is taking place.

The City of Boulder is accepting Neighborhood Enhancement Grant and Neighborhood Spark Grant applications. Applicants may be asked to attend a short information session with the grant committee for the purpose of sharing project details and answering questions. Process questions should be directed to neighborhoodservices@bouldercolorado.gov or 720-564-2111.
