From documentaries to feature films, to shorts, BIFF brings it all to the annual film festival. It has been named one of the 25 coolest film festivals in the world and there is no doubt why. It is not to be missed!

It Is Opening Weekend for the New Boulder Art Cinema!

It is the opening weekend for the brand new Boulder Art Cinema located at the Boulder Public Library’s Canyon Theater! Such wonderful news that we have a new artsy and independent theater in town!

The Boulder Art Cinema is a partnership between the Boulder Public Library and Downtown Boulder, Inc., aimed at activating the Library’s Canyon Theater and drawing visitors and residents downtown. The Cinema will show first-run, independent films Thursday through Saturday evenings.

CU’s Museum of Natural History Rocks!

The University of Colorado Museum of Natural History is an academic unit of the Graduate School at the University of Colorado at Boulder with a mission to contribute to knowledge of the natural world and the humanities through research, teaching, and public education. The Museum’s collectionsnumber more than four million objects in anthropology/archaeology, botany, entomology, paleontology, vertebrates and invertebrates.

The University of Colorado Museum offers a wide variety of K-12 and adult educational programs and activities throughout the year, including lectures, family days, and guided tours. The exhibition galleries are open to the public seven days a week, free of charge. The Museum and Field Studies Graduate Program offers students an opportunity to earn a Master of Science degree or a certificate in Museum Studies.

Transactions Are Up. Inventory Is Low. Re/Max of Boulder Passes $1Billion in Sales for 2015!

2015 saw historic low levels of inventory and high levels of profit. Re/Max of Boulder had over $1,000,000,000 in sales in 2015. “Re/Max of Boulder passed a never-before seen benchmark of $1 billion in sales — a 22 percent increase over last year [2014].”

It looks like 2016 is on track to meet or possibly surpass this $1 billion benchmark. In this environment you need an experienced real estate agent on your side. Time to buy or sell? Give me a call!

Free/Educational Tours of the Visitor’s Center at the National Center for Atmospheric Research [NCAR]

Boulder’s National Center for Atmospheric Research’s [NCAR] visitor center is open for guided and self-guided tours 363 days of the year. This iconic building sits atop a mesa overlooking Boulder. The site is beautiful and offers easy hiking options and the visitor’s center offers visitors interactive learning opportunities. NCAR is open for visitors on weekdays 8:00am to 4:00pm and on weekends 9:00am to 5:00pm. Guided tours are offered M/W/F 12:00 to 1:00pm, but if you would rather a self-guided tour you can take a cell phone MP3 tour anytime. Many activities are hands on. Kids and adults alike enjoy this site!

A Perfect Day To Go Sledding!

Loving that snow? Maybe today is a great day to go sledding. There are some great sledding hills in Boulder! Check out these locations for some of the best sledding around:

Scott Carpenter Park: This is a mellow, fun slope for the kids, but adults enjoy it too!

Tantra Park [Just South of 46th and Hanover]: This sledding hill can get incredibly packed and at places it is steep.

Foothills Community Park: There are some great, low angle slopes here for kids and adults.
