Bands on the Bricks is Boulder County’s premiere outdoor summer concert series taking place in the heart of the city on the one-and-only Pearl Street Mall. Starting June 10, these musical evenings are a not-to-be-missed summer tradition with 10 weeks of FREE concerts. Boulder’s National Center for Atmospheric Research’s visitor center is open for guided and self-guided tours 363 days of the year. This iconic building sits atop a mesa overlooking Boulder. The site is beautiful and offers easy hiking options and the visitor’s center offers visitors interactive learning opportunities. NCAR is open for visitors on weekdays 8:00am to 4:00pm and on weekends 9:00am to 5:00pm. Guided tours are offered M/W/F 12:00 to 1:00pm, but if you would rather a self-guided tour you can take an cell phone MP3 tour anytime. Kids and adults alike enjoy this site! The Boulder Public Library hosts works of art by local elementary and middle school student artists, creating lively and imaginative works in a variety of mediums. The works of art can be seen in the Canyon Gallery through May 3, 2015.
