It is harvest time in many communities. In the community of Hygiene they are celebrating with a day dedicated to hay. Join in the fun at the Hygiene Hay Days and partake in a pie contest, live music, a farmers market, hayrides, barbecue and much more. Noon to 8pm in Downtown Hygiene.

Come check out some seriously classic cars at the Starlite Classic Car Show. The show benefits the Special Olympics of Colorado. This show is part of the Boulder Creek Hometown Fair. More information here. Between Canyon and Arapahoe on 13th Street. [September 1, Noon to 3pm]
A Hometown Fair original! Children of all ages design and decorate giant zucchinis—complete with wheels—and race their creations down the Great Zucchini Race ramp. Winners in each heat receive a prize! Check out this fun event all weekend long from 11:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. in the Children’s Area at the Hometown Fest (on the Boulder Municipal Building lawn).
Boulder Creek Hometown Fair is this weekend, August 31, Sept. 1 & 2, 2013. Come on out to see over 100 arts & crafts exhibitors, not to mention the great food and entertainment! More information and times here.
The 14th Annual Lafayette Peach Festival is sure to be delicious! This fun festival brings the delights of music, kids activities and of course peaches to more than 20,000 people [that’s how many people came in 2012]. The Boulder County Fair runs August 2 through August 11, 2013. Yippee for the Fair! Come pet some animals, watch a rodeo, ride some rides, and eat some fair food. Sounds like a fun day [or 2] to me. The Pearl Street Mall will be host to over 100 local artisan booths during the Open Arts Fest.
