Boulder Creek Hometown Festival Helps Boulder Celebrate Summer!
This weekend features The Boulder Creek Hometown Festival. This is the perfect bookend to close out the summer event season in downtown Boulder. The festival features over 100 arts & crafts exhibitors in Central Park and on the Boulder Public Library lawn along the creek, great live performances at the Bandshell, an interactive Sports & Kids Expo, the 5th Annual Family Fun & Fitness 5K, food court & beer garden, the infamous Chili Inferno Cook-Off, Classic Car Show, and an entire children’s area with carnival rides and exhibitors, the Great Zucchini Race, Big Wheel 300 races, and much more! Boulder Made The List Again! This time we landed on the Top 8 Cities with the Most High Income Earners
Boulder recently landed at #7 on the list of the Top 8 Cities With Most High Income Earners from Forbes Magazine. That translates to 34.4% of Boulder households having incomes toping $100,000. September = Dog Dayz. Get your dogs ready to play at the pool!
Dog Dayz is a Boulder special event so requires a plenty of warning! September 15, 2014 starts Dog Dayz at Scott Carpenter Pool. This is the time when the City of Boulder turns into an aquatic dog park for two weeks. The pool closes for human usage and we open up the water for dogs to enjoy. The Dog Dayz event has been running strong for nearly a decade! It is a great way to spend a warm afternoon with your best friend — your dog (or dogs) will be grateful for the chance to cool off and play with others. More info on Dog Dayz right here.

Barbershop Harmony Festival Is The Happening Place To Be!
Time to get your tickets for the 65th Annual Barbershop Harmony Festival happening August 24, 2014 at Chautauqua.
For the 65th consecutive year, the Boulder Timberliners Barbershop Chorus will host a fun-filled evening of Barbershop singing at Chautauqua Auditorium. There will be over 250 barbershoppers on stage for the mass chorus presentations as well as performances by individual choruses including the International Medal winning chorus Sound of the Rockies, the Boulder Timberliners, the Longmont Long’s Peak Chorus, The Mountain Aires, and High Country Women’s Chorus. Our featured group is the CU Buffoons.
The barbershop-style a-capella music is a uniquely American musical art form. It is known for its four-part harmony and the “expanded sound” created by its unique chord structure. Sharing roots with gospel and jazz, it is part of the continuum of American music.

The TEBO train spends the summer on the Pearl Street Mall delighting children and their families with free train rides.
