The City of Boulder’s Open Space and Mountain Parks is launching their own Pokemon expeditions for adults and families. Get outside and search for Pokemon via this guided hike in Boulder’s beautiful foothills. It sounds fun!

Join Open Space Naturalists and Pokémon hunting guides Steve, Erick and Tyler on a hike to learn strategies to get the most of your augmented reality adventures. We are offering two programs – one especially for children, and one for adults.

September is for the dogs in Boulder, Colorado! Dog Dayz are back at Scott Carpenter Pool starting September 19, 2016. Let your canine friend enjoy swimming when the City of Boulder turns into an aquatic dog park for two weeks. The pool closes for humans and the pool is open for dogs to enjoy.
Dog Dayz are a great way to spend a warm afternoon with your canine friend — your dog will be grateful for the chance to cool off and play with others. Admission is $5/dog or $40/up to 2 dogs for a Dog Dayz pass. Dog Dayz Dates: September 19 – October 2, 2016.

The City of Boulder will host a “meet and bleat” on today with 24 goats — including Bubbles, Coco Puff, Oodles, Hanz and Princess — that help tackle noxious weeds on city properties. Five Senses Nature Hike: Story Time & Kids’ Hike

Join naturalist Ellen Orleans for story time along the Bobolink Trail. Celebrate Boulder’s Open Spaces with colorful picture books and participatory foot stomping, arm flapping, and animal noise-making. At 10:30, we’ll leave for a Five Senses nature hike along the shady creek. This activity is geared toward 2- to 5-year-olds, but open to all. For your next Boulder block party, consider reserving the neighborhood block party trailer from the City of Boulder.
The trailer is available for any Boulder resident to reserve — though it must be used for a neighborhood party, which means everyone within some geographic area (you define your neighborhood) must be invited. If you reserve the trailer, it is yours for a weekend — city staff will drop it off to the requested location on Friday afternoon and pick it back up on Monday morning. The idea is that you only have to add food, drink and neighbors — everything else is contained within the trailer for you, making a block party easy and fun.
All permitting requirements still apply with use of the trailer. You will need a block party permit if you are planning to close the street. Type III barricades (required for street closure) are included in the trailer, available at no cost to the host.
Depending on where you plan to utilize the trailer, you will need to follow one of these three processes. You must indicate which process, based on place and use, that you will follow, when you reserve the trailer. Reservation of the trailer itself does not initiate these processes for you.
