Boulder Creek Hometown Festival’s Final Day!
This is the last day of the Boulder Creek Hometown Festival. This is the perfect bookend to close out the summer event season in downtown Boulder. The festival features over 100 arts & crafts exhibitors in Central Park and on the Boulder Public Library lawn along the creek, great live performances at the Bandshell, an interactive Sports & Kids Expo, the 5th Annual Family Fun & Fitness 5K, food court & beer garden, the infamous Chili Inferno Cook-Off, Classic Car Show, and an entire children’s area with carnival rides and exhibitors, the Great Zucchini Race, Big Wheel 300 races, and much more! Operamani is an exciting, hour long romp through the world of opera, introducing everything from voice types to recitative. You and your children will be transported through opera history, with scenes from La Cenerentola, Porgy and Bess, Regina, Carmen, The Magic Flute, and more! Architecture Matters Lecture Series Focuses on Landmarks of the Future Tonight
The Architecture Matters Lecture Series continues tonight [Wednesday, April 16, 2014] at 6:30 p.m. taking a look at “Landmarks of the Future.” This is a panel discussion of how Boulder’s contemporary architecture might be perceived in the future and which buildings may be landmarks in the coming decades and why. This is a free event at the Main Boulder Public Library Auditorium.
