Colorado’s Chautauqua Is A Real Boulder Gem!

Chautauqua Dining Hall at Dusk in Boulder, CO

Chautauqua is a wonderful gem in Boulder! This area offers access to some of the best hiking, dining, concerts, learning opportunities and places to just lay out your picnic blanket in the Boulder area. Nestled up against the Flatirons on Baseline Road, Chautauqua is literally a gateway to the Boulder lifestyle.

Chautauqua came to be in the 1890s as the result of a desire by the Texas Board of Regents to create a summer school for teachers at a desirable destination. It has continued to offer housing, community, and educational opportunities. Learn more about the history of the Colorado Chautauqua at this great article by yourboulder.com.
