The Bolder Boulder is such a Boulder classic. Are you running on Memorial Day? Thinking about running this iconic 10k? You can do it! You will of course be joined by well over 50,000 other runners. You can walk, jog, run, dance, or saunter. Really you can get to the finish however you like and enjoy non-stop entertainment along the way.

Get Into The Past at the Spring Heritage Day at the Walker Ranch

Step back in time and you can experience homesteading as our ancestors did in the past. Just above Boulder you will find Walker Ranch, a well preserved slice of history. The Spring Heritage Day at Walker Ranch offers a glimps into the life of homesteaders in our area. Period dressed volunteers help you go back in time and truly get a sense of the richness of the homesteading experience. Enjoy exploring a ranch from the late 1800s. We’ll have special spring activities and crafts. For ranchers, spring was when the list of things to do seemed endless. See costumed volunteers demonstrate chores associated with rural living in the late 1800s such as blacksmithing or cooking on a wood stove. May 1, 2016 from 10am to 1pm.

Go Take A Hike! A Virtual One On Some Of Boulder’s Most Beloved Trails

In the summer of 2015 Google partnered with Open Space and Mountain Parks (OSMP) to map some of the city’s trails. OSMP provided information on our trails, along with recommendations for areas to map. Google conducted the mapping for this pilot effort. The city is exploring the possibility that more OSMP trails could be mapped. Here are the trails you can walk virtually:

BLDG 61 Brings Boulder Maker Space

Build, Learn, Design, and Grow at the Boulder Library’s Makerspace!

BLDG 61 (pronounced “building sixty-one”) is an all-ages public workshop located in the 1961 portion of the Main Library and is dedicated to hands-on learning and cultivating valuable experiences in the community through making. This is a place you can go to learn how to laser cut metal, create 3D printed objects, design lamps, and much, much more. All workshops are free.
