Movie Trivia Night at The Dairy–A Fundraiser for the Boedecker Theater. Come out and support the Boedecker Theater and test your movie trivia knowledge. Your ticket includes food and drink, and the trivia contest will be organized in teams of 6. There will be ten rounds of ten questions each, with prizes for each round. Open Studios Artist Tours and Opening Reception Start Tonight!
Fall Open Studios Artist Tours are starting this weekend. They kick off this amazing annual event with an opening reception tonight from 6 to 8pm at the Canyon Gallery at the Main Boulder Library. The opening reception is a free event and a great opportunity to take a look at the artists’ works which will be displayed.
The Open Studios Artist Tours are this weekend, October 4 & 5 as well as next weekend, October 12 & 13. When you go on the tour you can pick the locations and the artists that interest you. The best part is you get to see their studios and understand their creative process. You can purchase maps to the artist’s studios at one of many locations around Boulder. To find a map click here.

‘Provence to Lyons’ Flood Relief Benefit Dinner at Mateo Restaurant Tonight
‘Provence to Lyons’ Flood Relief Benefit Dinner at Mateo Restaurant (1837 Pearl St., Boulder, 303-443-7766) is tonight, October 2. Proceeds will go to benefit the citizens of lyons who have been displaced by the flood.
Join some of Boulder’s powerhouse chefs and bartenders are coming together to create a seven course meal with cocktail and wine pairings. Among the participants are Nate Bychinski of Mateo, Kelly Whitaker of Basta, Will and Coral Frischkorn of Cured, Bryan Dayton of Oak at Fourteenth, and Brett ZImmerman of the Boulder Wine Merchant. Reservations for two seatings (6 p.m. and 9 p.m.) can be made by calling 303.443.7766. Cost is $150/person. A complimentary community table will be reserved for residents of Lyons for both seatings.

CU Presents Picnic, a Pulitzer Prize Winning Play
University of Colorado’s CU Performing Arts Department presents, Picnic, a Pulitzer Prize-winning play, by William Inge. Picnic explores potent universal themes of gender, sexuality and its repression, and the gap between desire and reality. Inge was praised alongside such lofty peers as Eugene O’Neill, Arthur Miller and Tennessee Williams. He saw success both in New York — actor Paul Newman made his Broadway debut in Picnic — and Hollywood, where the film version of the play won two Oscars in 1955.
