Family-Friendly Halloween Activities Around Boulder

Tons of Halloween events around Boulder for the whole family!

Halloween Carnival: Oct. 27

The annual Halloween Carnival is a community wide, family-friendly event held at the South Boulder Recreation Center on Oct. 27 from 3 to 5 p.m.  All ages are welcome at the event, but the carnival is intended for visitors ages 3 to 8. Children under 3 are free, as are adults.  All other children are $5 each, which includes all the activities at the Halloween Carnival, including crafts, face painting, carnival games and more.

 

Boulder Library Events: Oct. 27 to 29

Costume Hack-a-thon 
Friday, Oct. 27, from 1-5 p.m., at Main Library’s BLDG 61 Makerspace. Join us to work on your Halloween costumes! Access to sewing machines, laser cutters, vinyl cutter, craft supplies, glue guns, soldering equipment, and more. Bring supplies your own supplies! Open to ages 8-plus, attendees under 13 must be accompanied by an adult. Please register!

Gross Me Out at the Library at the Main Library
Sunday, Oct. 29, from 1-2 p.m., at the Main Library, Boulder Creek Room

Haunted Library at Reynolds Library
Sunday, Oct. 29, from 2-4 p.m., at Reynolds Branch Library

Concert: Ghosts, Ghouls, and Witches, featuring Soprano Ekaterina Kotcherguina (costumes encouraged)
Sunday, Oct. 29, from 2-3 p.m., at the Main Library, Canyon Theater

Sewing Rebellion Workshop: costume edition
Sunday, Oct. 29, from 2:30-5:30 p.m., Main Library, BLDG 61 Makerspace

 

Munchkin Masquerade: Oct. 31

Head to downtown Boulder on Oct. 31 for this annual trick-or-treat event on and around Pearl Street. Munchkin Masquerade, held 3 p.m. to 6 p.m., features treat stops at participating businesses. Recommended for children ages 12 and under.
