The CWA Brings The World To Boulder for 5 Days!

What offers you 100 presenters, 200 events & 92,000 seats filled over the course of 5 days? The Conference on World Affairs [CWA]! Originally founded in 1948 as a forum on international affairs, the CWA expanded rapidly in its early years to encompass the arts, media, science, diplomacy, technology, environment, spirituality, politics, business, medicine, human rights, and so on. The 66th annual CWA is presented on the CU Campus right here in Boulder April 7 – 12, 2014. For the entire schedule click here.

CU Presents Picnic, a Pulitzer Prize Winning Play

Screen Shot 2013-09-30 at 9.05.55 AMUniversity of Colorado’s CU Performing Arts Department presents, Picnic, a Pulitzer Prize-winning play, by William Inge. Picnic explores potent universal themes of gender, sexuality and its repression, and the gap between desire and reality. Inge was praised alongside such lofty peers as Eugene O’Neill, Arthur Miller and Tennessee Williams. He saw success both in New York — actor Paul Newman made his Broadway debut in Picnic — and Hollywood, where the film version of the play won two Oscars in 1955. Playing October 4 to 13 on campus at the University Theatre. Get tickets here.

The Stampedes’ finales take place in the parking lot at 10th & Pearl streets. It’s FREE and fun for the whole family. This is a great opportunity to cheer on your favorite Buffaloes and listen to the traditional sounds of the Golden Buffalo Marching Band!
