Tomorrow is Bike-to-Work AND Bike-to-Market Day!

June 25, 2014 is Bike to Work Day. Join others using alternative transportation to get around today. You don’t have to be going to work to join in the fun! Look for breakfast and snack stations on your way to and from your favorite destinations – find a station here. More information on the event and/or to register click here.

But you can also Bike to Market – the Farmer’s Market that is. Tomorrow is the fun Wednesday night Boulder Farmer’s Market. Get your veggies. Get your dinner. Listen to live music. Enjoy to market – 4 to 8pm throughout the summer. More details – click here!

Chicks On Bikes: Bike Commuting Workshop For Ladies

Chicks on BikesThinking about starting to commute by bike? Community Cycles is offering this fun and interactive workshop that will get you off on the right foot. Discuss the right gear for you and your bike, practice some must know bike skills, then wrap it up with a short and sweet bike ride to familiarize you with our local path system. Ladies only, please! The day includes bike tune-ups and rodeo, bike safety instruction and repair demos, art and crafts, food, music, and much more. There will be prizes, a bike smoothie blender, and other cool stuff. Kids, bring your bikes for a spring tune-up, then come and ride the bike rodeo and have fun learning to ride over, under and around obstacles. Get Ready! The BVSD Bike Collection Drive Is Happening April 16 and 17, 2013: Donate your bikes to a great cause!

recycle-your-bikeBoulder Valley School District is hosting a Bike Collection Drive to benefit Community Cycles, a Boulder area non-profit dedicated to enhancing bike culture and giving people access to bikes. Donate your used bikes, parts, and accessories IN ANY CONDITION to Community Cycles and they will make sure they are put to good use. Donation dates and locations:

  • Tuesday, April 16: Boulder High School in the parking lot at Arapahoe and 15th Street. 8:00am to 5:00pm.
  • Wednesday, April 17: Fairview High School in the horseshoe in front off of Greenbriar. 8:00am to 5:00pm.
