Is Right-Sizing Right For Boulder?

The City of Boulder is attempting to make our city more bike friendly. Not a bad idea! Recently the controversial idea of “right-sizing” has been implemented on streets such as Folsom. It has been met with a lot of criticism as well as support. What do you think about the idea of “Right-Sizing” Boulder streets?

Dog Dayz Are Coming Back. Is Fido Ready To Play In The Pool?

Screen Shot 2013-08-27 at 9.49.05 AMSeptember Is For The Dogs In Boulder, Colorado! Dog Dayz are back at Scott Carpenter Pool. This is the time when the City of Boulder turns into an aquatic dog park for two weeks. The pool closes for human usage and the pool is open for dogs to enjoy.

Dog Dayz are a great way to spend a warm afternoon with your canine friend — your dog will be grateful for the chance to cool off and play with others. Admission is $5/dog or $40/up to 2 dogs for a Dog Dayz pass. Dog Dayz Dates: September 14 – 27, 2015. More info on Dog Dayz right here.

Free Drop-in Nature Play Programs June - Aug. 2015

FREE NATURE PLAY DROP-IN PROGRAMS

The last of the free nature play programs is happening August 31 and September 3, 2015. It’s not too late to get in on the fun! The City of Boulder is offering free nature play programs designed to connect children 3 to 12 to nature, outdoor play and learning. The City of Boulder provides the fun, you provide the supervision. Nature explorers need to be prepared for any type of weather. Simply drop-in, sign-up and have fun.

All programs are on Mondays and Thursdays.

  • Ages 3 to 7: 9 to 11 a.m.
  • Ages 8 to 12: 1 to 3 p.m.

Location

Meet at the Civic Area International Peace Garden located between the Boulder Main Library parking lot on Arapahoe Ave. and Boulder Creek.

Free Tulip Bulbs! The City of Boulder’s Annual Tulip Bulb Give Away is August 26

Tulip Bulb Giveaway Is A Fun Annual Boulder Event! Join the City of Boulder at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 26 in front of the Boulder County Courthouse on the 1300 block of the Pearl Street Mall for the 2015 Tulip Bulb Giveaway. Get these great bulbs in time to plant them this year and watch them bloom in the spring!

Tulip bulbs are provided on a first-come, first-served basis (one bag per family). A small donation is appreciated in support of citywide parks and horticulture maintenance efforts.
