In 2009, during Boulder’s 150th Anniversary, a group of artists and historians created The Ditch Project to celebrate 150 years of Boulder’s irrigation history. They found historic images of Boulder’s ditches and took contemporary photographs from the same locations. Thus evolved the exhibit, Boulder County Ditches: Then & Now. The exhibit is open during normal museum hours through April 13, 2014. More information on The Ditch Project here.

From nearly 500 submitted works of art, they’ve selected 134 pieces by 94 artists from as far away as Hawaii and Alaska. Some of these artists have also provided miniature works, perfect for holiday gift-giving. Come check out the exhibit during open hours. More information here.

Cleo’s “Granny Dances” presents two free, 1 hour shows. Storytelling, music, dance & costumes drawn from holiday traditions around the world. Great family event for all ages. Free in the Canyon Theater at the Boulder Public Library. Come early, limited seating. December 11, 2013 for 2 shows: 4pm and 6:30pm.
