It’s time to get your tickets for one of Boulder’s biggest foodie events: Taste of Pearl. This event showcases the talents of some of Colorado’s most renowned restaurants & chefs. Now one of the state’s most prestigious culinary events, Taste of Pearl is celebrating its fifth anniversary pairing 15 Boulder restaurants with 15 Colorado wineries. On March 19, 2014, join Cafe Phil at The Dairy for an open rehearsal. Watch up-close as Music Director Michael Butterman works with the professional musicians of the Boulder Phil to bring the music to life! Wine, beer, coffee, juice, snacks and pastries are available for purchase until 9:30pm, and drinks are welcome in the Performance Space. You also can hang out in the galleries and enjoy the art on display. This is a free event. Come and go as you please!

On March 22, 2014 Open Space & Mountain Parks as well as the Boulder Philharmonic present their own interpretations of Ghosts of the Grasslands. Together they bring you the opportunity to hike & see a performance perfectly paired together!
The Hike: Prepare for the Boulder Philharmonic concert with an easy morning hike to learn about the plants and animals of our native grasslands, and how they have changed since the first pioneers arrived in Boulder. Naturalist Dave Sutherland will take you to a prairie dog town just south of Boulder to observe day-to-day life, and see how prairie dogs are an important part of the grassland ecosystem. Dress for the weather: it might be cool and windy. Meet at Marshall Mesa Trailhead, near the junction of Highway 93 and Eldorado Springs Drive. 9:30 to 11:30am.
The Musical Performance: Macky Auditorium, the Boulder Philharmonic will perform Ghosts of the Grasslands by composer Steven Heitzeg, a work that celebrates the life of the American prairie. More about the this performance & to purchase tickets go here.
Boulder Arts Week and BMoCA are calling for art submissions from 7th – 12th graders. This is part of the larger Boulder Arts Week event. Know a budding artist? Let them know to get their works of art in by March 20, 2014 if they want to take part.

NCAR offers a stunning palette for artists to display their work. Through March 29, 2014, Boulder, Colorado artist Jan Burch’s large scale oil paintings featuring macro views of natural subject matter will be displayed. Interpretations of light and the emotion of time are featured in her signature work.
The NCAR gallery is free and open M-F 8am to 5pm and weekends 9am to 4pm.
