Nederland, Colorado is home to some spectacular and whimsical creatures. These fun creatures reside on the Carousel of Happiness which features 56 hand-carved animals turning to the music of a 1913 Wurlitzer band organ. This is the stuff of memories! Celebrating its thirteenth year as the original outdoor ice skating rink in the community, WinterSkate presents the perfect opportunity to enjoy the winter season in a beautiful small-town setting.

CU’s Museum of Natural History presents their January Family Day – Dogs Run The World! They double dog dare your family to learn more about the canines we love! Today from 10 to 4 your family can head to the CU campus to enjoy a day learning about why it is they say “Dogs Run The World”. These Family Days are always engaging and fun for the whole family!

The City of Boulder offers excellent programs for families! These programs are offered on a regular basis and help us all to learn more about the environment around us.
On the last day of the year get outside with your kids to learn more about the critters that live all around us. They get to be detectives as you look for signs of tracks and learn the stories of these animals. This tracking program is on December 31, 2014. Learn more HERE.
