Tee Time Anyone?

This summer, Indian Peaks Golf Course will be offering a way for people to use their smartphones to improve their golf game.  Pretty cool idea, isn’t it?  The iPhone and Android app will allow golfers to pinpoint their location on the course, determine yardage to the green and any hazards in between. Users will also be able to view tips for each hole from the golf pro, order food from the clubhouse, schedule tee times and sign up for golf lessons.

The app is brought to you by Denver-based Slick Greens LLC.

Pastries on the Path

Pastries on the Path: Community Cycles and Boulder Food Rescue team up to provide coffee and treats to bike commuters. The event, inspired by a similar event in Portland, Oregon called “Breakfast on the Bridges” is a simple gesture to thank bike commuters for braving the possibly hazardous spring conditions and riding their bikes. Pastries, Bagels and Cake (cake for breakfast!?), are rescued Thursday night from area bakeries’ surpluses, and coffee is provided by Conscious Coffee roasters.

April 6 they are sponsoring a stop on the Boulder Creek Path @ 13th St.

Boulder B-cycles Back for 2012!

Boulder B-cycles are back for their second year here in Boulder.  It’s a great concept – sign up for a membership, grab a bike and go! They encourage riding from point A to point B and if the ride is under an hour, there’s no additional charge.  Getting back to your originating location is a snap – grab a bike and head back after your adventure.

You can get downtown from many locations in NoBo, East Boulder and SoBo.  Check em out!
