It’s a Stampede!

This Friday is the first Stampede of this year’s CU football season!  Come on out and show your support for CU and your team pride in this community tradition.  Fans will cheer the Tebo vintage fire truck and watch the Golden Buffalo marching band as it performs for fans on the Pearl St Mall.

One More Week to Swim Outdoors!

If you enjoy swimming outdoors you’d best get out for the last days the outdoor pools are open in the area.

Spruce Pool is open through September 3, 2012.

USA Pro Challenge Comes Through Boulder

You’ve probably noticed there’s a little bike race coming through Boulder this weekend.  Predictions are that up to a million people will be coming through Boulder to see Stage 6 of the 2012 USA Pro Challenge on Saturday, August 25, 2012.   Many thanks for RE/MAX of Boulder for sponsoring!

East End 2K

Join in the fun with the first 2k race on the East End of Pearl Street in Downtown Boulder, Colorado! The East End 2K begins at 5:30pm on August 30, 2012 with a 1k fun run for the kiddos. Runners for both the 1k and 2k start at 15th & Pearl.

The East End 2K is part of 5430 Sports Boulder road races series. Check out their website for details and get all three events on your calendar for next year!

Boulder Nite Classic

Boulder Nites Classic returns August 18, 2012 for their third annual event featuring live music by the Kathleen Strong Band.  The 9 mile ride starts and ends at the Twenty Ninth Street Mall.  Be sure to strap a light onto your bike or helmet and come on over for some fun starting at 5:30!  The ride begins at 7:30.

North Boulder Park Classic

Can’t wait for the USA Pro Cycling event to arrive in Boulder on August 25? Here’s a place to get your competitive cycling fix: August 12, 2012 sees the North Boulder Park Classic once again.  With events for runners, cyclists and kids, it’s a fun and competition filled day. Events start at 8am with a fun run and goes throughout the day.

B-Cycle Launches New Station

Boulder B-cycle has added a 16th station in the Boulder area.  Wow! The latest is at Wilderness Place right near Boulder Beer.  Celebrate this Thursday, July 26, 2012 at Boulder Beer.  Arrive between 4:30 and 7pm on a B-cycle for a special prize!

Downtown Louisville Bike Race

Here’s a new one: Sonic Boom Race through historic downtown Louisville Colorado! There’s a kids race, cruiser race and competitive racing also.

The race course will start and finish on Main Street and Walnut heading north, and follows a path through the residential streets west of downtown. The streets are wide and smooth with a three block hill at the beginning of the loop and a meandering downhill leading into the final turn-The Lucky Pie Corner.
The Sonic Boom Kid’s Bike Race and fun Cruiser Race are open to everyone.  All kid participants receive a free ice cream cone, sponsored by Sweet Cow and Centennial Valley Pediatrics. At the end of the day, stop by the Avery beer garden at Lucky Pie’s expanded front patio space for the end of race celebrations.
