Star Wars Reads Day
Got a Yoda in your family? Someone who recites Luke or Han’s lines all the time? Come on out for Star Wars Reads Day! There will be Star Wars-themed games, trivia, crafts, prizes, snacks, and more. Come in costume, have an origami light-saber battle, eat a Wookie Cookie, and vote for your favorite character!

Take a Kid Mountain Biking Day
Saturday, October 6, 2012, Avid4 Adventure will provide FREE bike instruction at Valmont Bike Park in Boulder. The ride is part of a nationwide celebration known as Take a Kid Mountain Biking Day, supported by the International Mountain Bicycling Association (IMBA).
Register Now – It’s Free! Instructional rides run all day but registration is required.
Avid4 Adventure has partnered with the City of Boulder Parks and Recreation Department and the Boulder Mountain Bike Alliance to bring you this event.
Last Wednesday Farmer’s Market!
Today is the last Wednesday Farmer’s Market of the season so come on out to stock your freezer with fall produce and have one last dumpling dinner with Tres Pupusas. Not that you can’t have pupusas for breakfast on one of the remaining Saturday markets too!
Pumpkin Patch
It’s that time of year: pumpkin carving, corn mazes and hay rides. Cottonwood Farms is just East of Boulder on 75th & Arapahoe. They offer a day at their farm where you can pick your own pumpkin, check out the farm animals and buy local organic produce. Admission is free and they are open through October 31. 
Theatre Hikes: Legend of Sleepy Hollow
What a novel idea: perform a play in nature, incorporated into a hike. How Colorado is that? And what could be more fun than seeing The Legend of Sleepy Hollow? Performances run throughout October but hurry – we hear they sell out fast! See Theatre Hikes for details.
