Afternoon Tea at Dushanbe
If you’re looking for something special this holiday weekend, try an afternoon tea at the Boulder Dushanbe Teahouse. Here’s their description:
“Come relax as we serve a traditional afternoon tea, complete with a lovely table dressed with English style white linens and tea time accoutrements. A beautiful three tiered tower of sweet and savory pastries, scones, artichoke purses, and cucumber sandwiches, sweet cakes and the chef’s daily special creation all baked fresh for you on the day of your tea and is presented with, of course, a pot of our premium tea. Afternoon tea is traditionally served from 3:00 pm – 5:00 pm.
Cost is $19.95 per person ($10.95 children under 9). Reservations are required 24 hours in advance because we will be baking fresh for you the morning of your tea. We welcome parties of all sizes! We also offer a premium Children’s Afternoon Tea perfect for birthday parties – please call us for details.

Gingerbread Tea
Saturdays and Sundays throughout December bring us a fun time at the St Julien Hotel with their annual gingerbread tea series. Bring in the kiddos for gingerbread cookie decorating and enjoy some tea and holiday music too.
A portion of the proceeds go to There with Care and there will be a collection box for essential items for families in need.

Polar Plunge
Are you game for a plungapalooza? The 30th annual Polar Plunge will take place this New Year’s Day at the Boulder Reservoir. All proceeds go to Alzheimer’s Association of Colorado.
Bring your friends out to participate or watch this dip into the Res and ring in the new year with an ice bang!

Lunchtime Holiday Sing-Along Today!
The Boulder Public Library hosts a holiday sing-along today at noon in the Canyon theater with Reveille 3–Andrew Sister’s Act–present “Home Front Holiday Radio Show”. Part of their Third Tuesday 
Lunchtime Concert Series, this one is sure to be extra fun!

Storytime!
Looking for indoor activities for the kiddos? Area public libraries have storytimes for any age child you have underfoot. Here’s a rundown:
Boulder Public Library: With three libraries, there’s a storytime going on every day of the week. Click here for a schedule. Fun fact: There are a couple of special story times they do each month: French~English, Spanish~English and a musical storytime.
Louisville Public Library: Most storytimes are on Wednesdays and Thursdays. All-ages also have a Saturday time. Click here for a schedule. Fun fact: there is a storytime in French on the first Friday of every month and a Jewish storytime series to learn about Jewish history and culture.
Lafayette Public Library: Storytimes are on Monday, Wednesdays and Thursdays depending on your child’s age. Click here for a schedule. Fun fact: This week they have a series of holiday related stories and fun! They also list a bi-lingual (English~Spanish) storytime under special events.
Winter Break Camps
Winter break for the kiddos is right around the corner. Keeping them occupied can drive a busy parent crazy! Luckily, many area recreation centers have programs to help out. Here are a few to check out:
