Tips for a Fall Home Sale

If your home is on the market this fall, make sure you’re following these tips to maintain a warm and inviting atmosphere:

  • Rake those leaves and shovel that walk! While you may be done with the majority of landscaping for the year, be sure to maintain what is there for a neat appearance and a safe environment.
  • Keep the lights on! Whether you open all of the curtains and blinds during the day or add a few extra lamps for evening showings, be sure you are showing off your rooms to their best advantage.
  • A warm home is an inviting home. Keep the heat at a warm upper 60’s – not too hot if a prospective buyer is bundled up and not too cool if it’s a warm day outside.

The leaf collection program incorporates the leaves with biosolids at the Wastewater Treatment Facility,  producing over 2,000 yards of compost material each year. This material is available to residents for use as  a soil amendment.
