The Boulder Family Farm Stand has fresh produce and plants for purchase at their self-service stand at 1005 Cherryvale Rd. Check it their Facebook page for updates on what’s available. This week they are featuring strawberry plants and fresh salad greens!
If you haven’t heard the news, Boulder’s only indoor velodrome, Boulder Indoor Cycling is closing its doors. But you know what they say: When one door closes another is always opening…

The NAHB (National Association of Home Builders) has shared with us the top trends in home building for 2012. Have you seen these “pocket offices” that are trending right now? A small office space usually off the kitchen or family room. They are replacing the more traditional home office.
One trend that may be missed is having multiple roof lines – it gives the outside of the house an interesting look to have a varied roof line but the new trend for varied materials on the exterior can also be fun. Add a stone porch to a wood facade to add some texture to the exterior!
May 5 and 6 bring us to the annual East Boulder County Artist Studio Tour 2012. This year’s tour features 52 local East Boulder County artists.
Media categories include oil, acrylic, watercolor, pastels, fused glass, sculpture, ceramics, cast paper, bookmaking, art quilting, woodcarving, photography, collage and jewelry making.
Our artists open the doors of their working studios to the public for the weekend. Come visit us in Lafayette, Louisville, Longmont and Erie to learn about each artists’ craft.

Boulder Ballet is putting on a special performance of Cinderella on May 13 at 11am and 2pm at the Boulder Theater. Set to Sergei Prokofiev’s magnificent score, the original choreography by Ana Claire and Peter Davison spills from the stage into the aisles in this family-friendly production.
