Whether you ride for fun or fitness, have a road bike or mountain bike, the Boulder County area has a ride for you! Community Cycles lists events that are going on all summer long.
There’s the Seniors on Bikes that ride every Wednesday and Friday morning, Valmont Bike Park Family Rides, bicycle maintenance clinics and more. Really – something for everyone! Thinking big? Try the B-360, a self guided 23 mile tour of Boulder. Fun!
It’s a great time of year to see wildflowers while hiking. Boulder Open Space offers this awesome hike:
Wildflowers of Goshawk Ridge
Sun June 3, 8 am – 12 pm
Fri June 8, 4 – 8 pm
The Goshawk Ridge trail winds through one of the most beautiful and pristine parts of OSMP. Its pine forests and lush, wet meadows are thick with wildflowers and a haven for wildlife. Explore this new trail with naturalist Dave Sutherland. Due to sensitivity of the habitat, space is limited to 15. Please call 303-441-3440 for reservation and meeting point. 4 miles, 700’ elevation gain.
We’re posting this event early because they sold out last year before we could get tickets. Theater Hikes Colorado takes you on a hike as you enjoy a performance of Shakespeare’s As You Like It. They recommend ages 10 and up. Don’t forget the comfy hiking shoes!
Tickets are $20 and the show runs most Saturdays and Sundays June 24-July 15, 2012.
Ahhh. We love farmer’s market season throughout the front range – fresh greens, herbs, cut flowers, kids running around and live music. Lafayette Farmer’s Market is one of the finest in the area. They’ve moved to a new location this year with more vendors and more parking.

The Boulder Home and Garden Fair was postponed due to weather a few weeks ago but we’re sure it’ll be a go on the rescheduled date of June 2, 2012, at the Twenty Ninth Street Retail District in Boulder.

Taste? Did somebody say taste? Louisville is hosting their annual marathon and food faire this Saturday, June 2, 2o12. Events of the day include half marathon, 5k and kids run in the morning. When you are done running, stroll down Main Street and taste some great food from local restaurants, listen to good music and hang out with your neighbors!

Like a good puzzle? Join the Boulder Museum of Contemporary Art with a scavenger hunt to learn more about the current exhibits and win prizes to local businesses like Smooch Frozen Yogurt and Dish Gourmet.

Boulder Museum of Contemporary Art is once again offering week-long workshops for kids all summer long. Their Young Artists at Work
2012 series begin June 4 and continue through August 3.
Options are available for half-day and full-day workshops: 9am–12pm and/or 1–4pm
Workshops are designed for either 5–8-year-olds or 9–12-year-olds.
