USA Pro Challenge Comes Through Boulder
You’ve probably noticed there’s a little bike race coming through Boulder this weekend. Predictions are that up to a million people will be coming through Boulder to see Stage 6 of the 2012 USA Pro Challenge on Saturday, August 25, 2012. Many thanks for RE/MAX of Boulder for sponsoring!
East End 2K
Join in the fun with the first 2k race on the East End of Pearl Street in Downtown Boulder, Colorado! The East End 2K begins at 5:30pm on August 30, 2012 with a 1k fun run for the kiddos. Runners for both the 1k and 2k start at 15th & Pearl.
The East End 2K is part of 5430 Sports Boulder road races series. Check out their website for details and get all three events on your calendar for next year!

The Twenty Ninth Street Mall hosts its final concerts of the 2012 season. Events start at 6:15pm with an opening band with the headliner taking the stage at 7pm. This weekend’s lineup: FACE on Aug 24 and Great American Taxi on Aug 25, 2012.

Church on 28th to be Developed
You’ve probably noticed the For Sale for awhile now on the church at 950 28th St as you come in to town. It’s finally being developed into apartments, according to the Boulder County Business Reporter’s recent article.
The iconic structure will remain as part of the development.
A Peach of a Party!
It’s prime peach season and Lafayette is celebrating in style with their annual Peach Festival this Saturday, August 18, 2012. Morton’s Orchard’s of Palisade, CO are once again bringing their famous organic peaches (over 30,000 pounds!)
Along with peaches to eat as they are, they are also featured in pies, cobblers, smoothies and other fruity delicacies for purchase.
To celebrate the season, there will also be a street fair with live music, food and entertainment for the kids, 9am-4pm, rain or shine.
Boulder Nite Classic
Boulder Nites Classic returns August 18, 2012 for their third annual event featuring live music by the Kathleen Strong Band. The 9 mile ride starts and ends at the Twenty Ninth Street Mall. Be sure to strap a light onto your bike or helmet and come on over for some fun starting at 5:30! The ride begins at 7:30.

Art Night Out in Lafayette!
The City of Lafayette continues their 2012 Art Night Out series. Art Night Out runs from 4 to 9 pm on the third Friday of the month throughout the summer in Downtown Lafayette. Each Night Out features artists, an art walk, children’s activities (including a balloon twister, magician and face painters), the Oskar Blues Bonewagon food truck and a beer garden.
Bands will play at Festival Plaza in Old Town Lafayatte from 7:30 to 9 pm. Here’s the lineup:
