What's Happening in Boulder County!
Located in Historic Downtown Louisville, WinterSkate is an old-fashioned ice skating rink complete with skate rental, concessions and traditional holiday music. Celebrating its thirteenth year as the original outdoor ice skating rink in the community, WinterSkate presents the perfect opportunity to enjoy the winter season in a beautiful small-town setting.

A local holiday favorite, the family-friendly Gingerbread Teas feature teas by Tea Forté, as well as scones, tea sandwiches and petits fours. The adults are entertained by music performed by Grammy winning pianist Ralph Sharon and his trio while children, donning a chef’s hat and apron, enjoy the opportunity to decorate gingerbread cookies, aided by a St Julien chef. This is super cute! Gingerbread Teas are held every Saturday and Sunday through Dec. 22, at noon and 2 p.m. More information here.

Lots of people including Santa will be be here to help celebrate the light. Come early and stay late to shop, dine and explore. Parade route. Parade is tonight at 6pm.

The University of Colorado’s Museum of Natural History is offering a free, drop-in class on tea making. Participants will learn how to craft their own delicious and healthy teas, creating their own signature blends from a variety of ingredients, many of which can be grown at home. Don’t forget to get your tickets to take the whole family to see the Mozart’s Magic Flute presented by the Boulder Opera Company. This relative newcomer to the Boulder arts scene has already pleased many audiences and works to make opera relevant to children. Looking for some light? Boulder County’s Annual Lighting of the Menorah is happening on Pearl Street on Monday, December 2, 2013 at 5:30pm. There will be live music, food, and the lighting of the menorah. Learn more here.
