Tips for a Fall Home Sale

If your home is on the market this fall, make sure you’re following these tips to maintain a warm and inviting atmosphere:

  • Rake those leaves and shovel that walk! While you may be done with the majority of landscaping for the year, be sure to maintain what is there for a neat appearance and a safe environment.
  • Keep the lights on! Whether you open all of the curtains and blinds during the day or add a few extra lamps for evening showings, be sure you are showing off your rooms to their best advantage.
  • A warm home is an inviting home. Keep the heat at a warm upper 60’s – not too hot if a prospective buyer is bundled up and not too cool if it’s a warm day outside.

There are extra events all weekend starting on Friday with the Homecoming Parade joining in the fun of the Pearl Street Stampede, CU’s traditional pep-rally before all home games.  Festivities start at 7pm in the Courtyard Plaza area with the parade ending at 10th & Pearl. Marching band, cheering, speeches – it’s all there!

Other events include Saturday morning pregame fun with Ralphie at Benson field at 10:30am. The marching band will be on hand and there will be a CU Spirit Team performance, family fun zone, concession stands and appearance from Ralphie the Buffalo.

The football matchup between the University of Oregon and University of Colorado gets under way at 1:30 p.m. at Folsom Field. Bill McCartney will be recognized on the field along with the homecoming committee at halftime. Former Homecoming grand marshal and CU track star Jenny Barringer Simpson will also be honored for her gold medal performance at the World Championships this past September.
