What's Happening in Boulder County!
Four Funny Films [with dogs!] is being shown at the George Reynolds Branch Library. This is a free event which showcases silent films–in this case all of which include dogs. Sounds fun, silly, and nostalgic to us! Jump on the funky bus to learn things you never knew about Boulder. We are talking ghosts, murders, and other tempting details of Boulder history here. The bus tour is just under two hours and super fun for the whole family! The buses leave from the Hotel Boulderado at 2pm and 4pm, Friday through Sunday. You need to make a reservation ahead of time. Ignite Boulder is similar to TED talks with a twist. It brings together some great local idea generators who get to make a presention on a subject of their choice. Speakers have exactly 5 minutes to teach something, enlighten us, or simply inspire — backed by 20 slides auto-advancing every 15 seconds. Join the folks at REI for an advanced class on using a GPS. The more we head outdoors–and summer is right around the corner–the more we need to ensure we can take care of ourselves and navigation essential. Knowing how to use a GPS can ensure you know where you are in the city of in the vast wilderness. This is a 2 hour class which includes computers and maps. You need to pre-register.
