Join the CU Art Museum for the opening reception for their newest exhibit, From Cherry Blossoms to Snow Gardens. This is an amazing exhibit featuring woodblock prints by famed ukiyo-e masters of the 19th century including Utagawa Hiroshige, Utagawa Kunisada, Utagawa Kuniyoshi, and Katsushika Hokusai. These artists documented the everyday life of Edo (present day Tokyo) through vibrant images of landscape, travel, commerce, and leisure. Take A Tour of the Visitor’s Center at the National Center for Atmospheric Research [NCAR]
Boulder’s National Center for Atmospheric Research’s visitor center is open for guided and self-guided tours 363 days of the year. This iconic building sits atop a mesa overlooking Boulder. The site is beautiful and offers easy hiking options and the visitor’s center offers visitors interactive learning opportunities. NCAR is open for visitors on weekdays 8:00am to 4:00pm and on weekends 9:00am to 5:00pm. Guided tours are offered M/W/F 12:00 to 1:00pm, but if you would rather a self-guided tour you can take an cell phone MP3 tour anytime. Kids and adults alike enjoy this site!
