It’s that time again. February is Mountain Sun‘s infamous stout month which draws beer lovers from near and far to taste such delicacies as Girl Scout Stout, their take on a minty chocolate concoction. If you’re looking for a unique beer tasting experience, make your way to the Mountain Sun, Southern Sun or Vine Street Pub this month for lunch, dinner or just to enjoy a delicious stout.

Take A Tour of the Visitor’s Center at the National Center for Atmospheric Research [NCAR]
Boulder’s National Center for Atmospheric Research’s visitor center is open for guided and self-guided tours 363 days of the year. This iconic building sits atop a mesa overlooking Boulder. The site is beautiful and offers easy hiking options and the visitor’s center offers visitors interactive learning opportunities. NCAR is open for visitors on weekdays 8:00am to 4:00pm and on weekends 9:00am to 5:00pm. Guided tours are offered M/W/F 12:00 to 1:00pm, but if you would rather a self-guided tour you can take an cell phone MP3 tour anytime. Kids and adults alike enjoy this site! Louisville’s Royal Ball Father/Daughter Valentine’s Day Dance is just around the corner
The Louisville Royal Ball Valentine’s Day Father/Daughter Dance is happening this year on February 9, 2013. This magical afternoon for fathers and daughters [ages 3 to 8] is held at the Louisville Arts Center (801 Grant St.) from 12:30 to 1:30pm. The event includes a tiara for each young lady, dancing to a live DJ, crafts, light refreshments and many smiles. Formal to semi-formal attire encouraged. Cost: $10/person. Must register here.
