Scott Carpenter Park Re-dedication

Ever wondered who Scott Carpenter is?  You know his park at 30th & Arapahoe. He’s an astronaut!  He was the second American to orbit the earth in Mercury 7.  He’ll be here on September 20, 2012 for the 50^th anniversary of his historic space flight.

The City of Boulder Parks and Recreation Department will host a park re-dedication of Scott Carpenter Park with Commander Carpenter in attendance at 4 p.m. on the 20th.
